Be Better

Now's not the time to up the ante in the realm of romance. Hold your cards close and keep a straight face, no matter what's in your hand (or how funny, or ridiculous, or hot you think the game is getting).
Sometimes other people seem hopelessly small-minded, probably because your own thoughts are so large-scale and wide-ranging. Now's one of those times. Someone's got to meet you more than halfway to stand a chance.
Be an explorer when it comes to love. No, not the kind intent on conquering -- the kind learning new languages, seeing new places, investigating nuances, finding out what makes people tick.
Rather than starting an argument, ask some open-ended questions. Rather than making an assumption, delve and find out more. Rather than being stubborn, try on several different points of view. Watch out for letting your words write a check your actions aren't going to cash! Flattery's fine, flirtation -- great, but teasing is just unfair at a certain point. Know when to cut it out.
